Our Review:

Counting On You is a fun romance with some surprise twists at the end.

Vicky is a bit of a stalker. She is being strung along by a boyfriend who claims he only took out the restraining order against her because his family made him do it! Vicky is innocent, naive, unworldly and extremely gullible! She ends up in LAA Rehab, Love Addicts Anonymous.

“You hit me pretty well when you stepped out in that red dress.” He gives me another glance and shakes his head. “Wow. I just want to strip you naked.”

My heart skips a beat.

He did not say that!”

Kaiden has spent the last year trying to win a bet. A bet that he could sleep with 365 women in a year. Just before he can complete his goal, he gets sent to rehab for Sex Addiction.

“I thought you were addicted to me.” As much as I’m addicted to you I want to add, but for some reason, can’t.”

This was my first book by these authors and I look forward to discovering more.

3.5 Stars

“Love is not an accident. It’s a verb. You don’t wait for it to happen. You make it happen. And I have every intention of making you mine.”

From New York Times Bestselling Author, J.C. Reed, and Jackie Steele comes a new standalone novel.
Sharing an apartment should be easy, right? And it’s only for six weeks.
That’s what I thought before I found out that my new roommate is female. And wow. Vicky Sullivan is unlike any woman I’ve ever met. She’s hot as sin, and crazy. Definitely not my kind of crazy, but too hot to pass up. There’s something about her that makes me rage with want. I don’t like her, but obviously my d*ck does. And what he wants, he gets.

Six weeks…Living together shouldn’t be too hard…Until my best friend challenges me to a bet…I make it my mission to make her mine.

There’s only one problem.

I have to break…Every. Single. Rule. And did I mention she’s completely off-limits?

It’s too late to say no.

A sizzling and romantic, enemies-to-lovers romp with steam!

Authors’ note – Counting On You is a full-length, standalone novel with no cliffhanger.

“Stop it, Kade. This is not the time for jokes.” In spite of her attempt at looking annoyed, her lips twitch.

“Why not?”

“You’re making me angry.” She grabs the handle but doesn’t open the door. I press my open palm against the door, planting myself before her.

“If making you angry is the only way to make you realize you’re wasting your time with this guy, then it’s worth it.”

“Why do you even care?” Her voice is soft now.

I don’t understand the anger I’m feeling or the fact that I do care.

I don’t understand why I need to protect her while shaking some sense into her.

“I would hate seeing you wasting your time over this loser. I hate knowing that this piece of shit makes you feel bad about yourself.” I grab her chin, forcing her to look at me, fighting the sudden urge to kiss her. “No woman deserves to feel the way you do. I don’t know what his fucking problem is, but Vicky, I do know that you’re hot. I have to restrain myself around you, and it’s not easy.”

“You find me attractive?” she whispers, her eyes wide.

“Yeah. Without a doubt.” I brush my fingertips over her lips, tracing the contours. “You’re weird but sexy as hell. Do you have any idea what you’re doing to me? How much you leave me in want? I don’t think you do.”
