Blurb:
Tennyson
In a family filled with picturesque butterflies, I’m a moth. Camouflaged. The invisible, nerdy scientist who would rather study water and save the planet than don a dress and mingle in southern society. Unfortunately, having my nose in a book and eating goals for breakfast doesn’t bode well for a social life or my cobweb covered dating sector.

Then I met Grange. He’s a tormenter—an epic bully, but he’s promised to help me in my lackluster areas. He’s been ordered to fulfill service hours at my Aquatic Lab in Cape Cod, if I allow it.

He is bad, the worst. I’m talking wearing prison garb when I met him kind of awful. We all have our demons, but Corrick Granger’s seep into everything and everyone around him. Sure, I’d love his expertise on how to land a guy, but I’m not sure any man is worth dealing with an outcast Navy SEAL who has more issues than a magazine subscription.

Grange
One hazy mistake was all it took to ruin my life. Well, one mistake coupled with a chain of bad decisions, and a side of my hot temper. The court doled out an easy community service sentence. Never anything too harsh for a “hero.” I’ll be back at the Teams in six months, easy. I need to keep my cool, put my head down, and follow the rules.

A fiery redhead with something to prove is all that stands between me and my freedom. Tennyson is a maddening combination of know-it-all and knows-nothing. The type of woman who would cut off her own nose to spite her face, and yet when my one mistake snowballs into a life altering, soul-damning error, she’s undeniably there for me.

Even though I don’t deserve it.

Even though I’ve kept secrets.

And despite the fact I have become the monster she knew I would be.

Excerpt:
Grange watches my hands as I pull my hair over my shoulder, then his blue eyes lock with mine. “I want to stay.”

Honest. Forward. I gulp. How can I test my hypothesis? How would Sue-Ellen figure out if a man was interested? Would she just go in for a kiss? Flirt? I wish I could text her right now. Squirming under the heat of his stare, I think I might have something. “Will you tell me what to say if I call Grey right now?”

His right brow raises a fraction, but he recovers quickly. I see the flicker of amusement, and I think he knows what I’m doing, but that’s fine. I need a distraction from the path of my thoughts. “Call him up. Tell him to come over so you can finish your date.” Grange balls his fists and his knuckles crack. “Tell him what’s in store for him.”

I open my mouth to ask what exactly he means, but he holds up a hand to silence me.

“You’ll invite him in. Maybe you offer a game of chess, maybe you offer him a drink to take the edge off. He’ll want the drink because you intimidate him, looking like that. He’ll want to kiss you.” Grange stops midstride as he crosses to me. “But he won’t because he won’t be able to stop at a kiss.”

I scoff. “That’s not Grey.”

His expression grows serious. “Obviously.”

I take in a breath, his gaze lights on my mouth. “You’ll sit at the table or on the couch and talk about work. He’ll try to change the subject to something else but neither of you are comfortable talking about personal things. Dark desires, so you’ll think about them and hope he makes a move. After he’s had enough to drink, he’ll touch you.” Grange reaches out, setting a possessive, hot hand on my waist. I feel it between my legs and lose my breath. “You’ll like it.” His gaze is searing, but there’s a playful undercurrent because he knows what he’s doing and I’m crippled by it.

Grange lets his hand fall away. “He won’t have the courage to go any further and you wouldn’t dare act too forward and tell him to keep touching you. It’s against the way you were brought up.” His mouth picks up on one side. “Southern manners.” I hate that my waist feels cold, that I want him to touch me again. My mouth is dry and it seems I had every reason to be nervous about being alone with him. “Leaving you needing more and him not willing to cross that line.”

I blink several times, feeling all of a sudden lightheaded. “You know it all, don’t you?”

The man is bewildering.

Grange lifts one shoulder up and down and backs away, eyes wide and confident.

“What do I know? I’m probably wrong.” Flopping down on the sofa, he is carefree and unaffected. I, on the other hand, feel a deep pit of longing, stealing air from my lungs.

He casually grabs the remote and flips on the television. After several awkward seconds of me staring at him, standing in the same place, he glances my way. “Call him.”

I stomp my foot. “Why can’t you be normal? A good friend?”

Life pulled them all in separate directions, taking her to Boston. For a short time, she thought she’d found something permanent. But after a devastating divorce, she’s running away again, this time to find a lost friend.

She’s driving across the country in her convertible. As a teenager, the rusty car was her shelter. As an adult, it’s her ride to freedom.

How long would you wait for true love?

Copy of SDSDFINAL Ebook (3) (1) (1)

Someday, Someday, an all-new standalone romance by International bestselling author Emma Scott, is live!

Max Kaufman was kicked out of his home as a teen and his life has been an uphill battle ever since. From addiction and living on the streets, to recovery and putting himself through nursing school, he’s spent the last ten years rebuilding his shattered sense of self. Now he’s taken a job as a private caretaker to Edward Marsh III, the president and CEO of one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Max soon learns Marsh’s multi-billion-dollar empire is a gold and diamond-encrusted web of secrets and lies.

The longer Max works and lives with the Marsh family, the tighter the secrets tangle around him. And his heart—that he’s worked so hard to protect—falls straight into the hands of the distant, cold, and beautiful son of a dynasty…

Silas Marsh is set to inherit the family fortune, but his father is determined his heir be the “perfect” son. Before Silas can take over the company and end its shady business practices, he must prove himself worthy…and deny his true nature.

Silas must choose: stand up to his father by being true to himself and his undeniable feelings for Max. Or pretend to be someone he is not in order to inherit everything. Even if it means sacrificing a chance at happiness and real love.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review:

Max and Silas couldn’t come from more different worlds, for once, Max is in the open about his sexuality while Silas will do anything to deny who he really is.

Everyday Max knows Silas more, he understands his fear to accept his preferences. And Max being so patient and a caretaker, will help Silas to do what he needs to do at his pace.

“Hot tears stung my eyes. He’s too good. Too good for the world… For me.”

Silas has a lot to loose if he gives into what he feels foor Max, and Max won’t stand being hidden, a secret, he suffered for that one time and it didn’t led him to a good place and he won’t go there again.

“” Holy sh*t,” I ground out.” You… Max. This… It’s…”
It’s everything.
It was a thousand wishes coming true. A thousand broken promises to myself becoming whole.”

Max and Silas are perfect for each other but they need to know if they are willing to risk themselves to their worst fears.

I loved their story and the meaning behind their lovestory. This is a mix of sweet, sexy and hot but also of understanding and accepting who we are.

OUR REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love this best friends to lovers story! This story is a standalone spinoff of the Harris Brothers series.

It is quite the case of opposites attract. Freya is a quiet, curvy girl seamstress who gets awkward in front of good looking guys. But she is best friends with super sexy Scottish football player, Mac.

“He always looks like he’s laughing about something. It’s maddening, really. I mean, what kind of human is constantly happy? It’s just not right.”

The story is fun and loaded with snarky banter, but this author doesn’t shy away from hitting the reader with ALL THE FEELS!! Be prepared to both laugh and cry!!

-5 Stars!- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

-Diane-

excerpt

I wake the next morning to a rough tongue touching my nipple. A smile spreads across my face as I open my eyes and expect to find Freya. My face falls when I see it’s her fucking demon of a cat laving at my pec like it’s going to produce milk at any moment.

“Fuck off, you wee bastard!” I bellow and shove the animal off my chest.

Hercules takes off down the hallway, and a snort echoes in the room. I turn my gaze to find Freya perched on a chair in the corner of her bedroom. She’s dressed in a long nightshirt, her red hair a wild mess of curls, and her makeup smudged like she was properly fucked last night. And she looks positively entertained.

“Did you just sit there and watch your cat violate me?” I croak, sitting up and rubbing my tender nipple.

She giggles and steadies herself so as not to spill the two cups of coffee in her hands. “I came in to bring you a coffee, but Hercules looked like he was warming up to you, so I just sat down here to not interrupt. I had no idea he was going to lick your tit.” She bursts out laughing all over again.

“You and I are in a fight then,” I reply gruffly, propping myself up on the headboard of her bed. “That was disturbing.”

She nods, her face still tormented with poorly concealed laughter. “For us all.”

“Romance masterpiece” – Kylie Scott, New York Times bestselling author

Sometimes you meet people who are out of this world, so you make them a part of yours.

A one-night stand born from vengeance in a foreign land.

An explosive chemistry neither of us could deny.

We signed a contract on the back of a Boar’s Head Pub napkin that said if we ever met again, we would drop everything and be together.

Eight years and thousands of miles later, he’s here.

In New York.

And he’s America’s music obsession.

The intangible Irish poet who brings record executives to their knees.

The blizzard in my perfect, unshaken snow globe.

Last time we spoke, he was a beggar with no intention of becoming a king.

But a king he became, and now I’m his servant.

I’m not the same broken princess Malachy Doherty put back together with his callused hands.

I have a career I love.

A boyfriend I adore.

An apartment, a roommate, a life.

I changed. He changed, too.

But Mal kept the napkin.

Question is, will I keep my word?

#BlogTour MY BARE LADY by Piper Sheldon @Piper_Sheldon #NewRelease #Standalone #OurReviews #BookLove @SmartyPantsRom @Jennw23

My Bare Lady, a funny and heartwarming romantic comedy standalone from Piper Sheldon and Smartypants Romance is available now!

20190530_TSWS01_My Bare Lady_Sheldon_KDP_FINAL

OUR REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love, Love, love this modern day redo of Pygmalion (My Fair Lady) A very original take on this classic. It is a little on the darker, grittier side than your average RomCom.

“Your issue is not that you don’t feel, Ford. Your issue is that you feel too much.” She smiled and put her head back on my racing heart.”

Suzie and Clifford’s story is a wonderful slow burn, opposites attract romance. It really had me wondering if Ford was molding Suzie or if he was going to find all the changes within himself.

“Just because everybody says things about you, doesn’t make them true. You get to decide who you are.”

The story is a standalone, the first in a new series featuring Jethro Winston’s exes, the Scorned Women’s Society.

-4.5 Stars!-

-Diane-

Suzie Samuels is the only thing standing between Clifford and his life’s work. All he has to do is change everything about her. Perception creates reality and Clifford Rutledge needs the irascible stripper to prove it.

Suzie Samuels is set to prove once and for all she’s more than Short Fuse Suze, stripper for the Black Demons and renowned motorcycle arsonist. If all it takes is hard work, then Suzie knows how to work it hard.

But Suzie’s scandalous spirit tests Clifford’s resolve. And Clifford’s buttoned-up bullying is driving Suzie bonkers.

Can Clifford move past their differences long enough to pull off the impossible task of changing the bare lady into a fair lady?

More importantly, as perceptions shift and priorities change, will he want to?

‘My Bare Lady’ is a full-length contemporary romantic comedy, can be read as a standalone, and is book #1 in the Scorned Women’s Society series, Green Valley World, Penny Reid Book Universe.

Excerpt

I was transfixed. It wasn’t just the way she mastered the room. It wasn’t just how her choreography perfectly correlated with the entrancing music. It wasn’t just her sex appeal. It was that unwavering gaze and focus on her task. To the rest of the room, staring blatantly at her admirable—ahem—assets, she was an object, but I recognized the barely controlled passion roiling under her skin. What would it be like to be that strong? Not just physically, but strong in a way that allowed her to bare her soul to a group of greedy strangers. My passions were locked away safely inside me and yet she put it all out there. Such bravery and passion.

In certain moments, I swear she looked right at me—quick stolen glances that shot a bolt of adrenaline down my spine. Perhaps this was a skill she learned to earn more tips, as the money was out in droves now, peppered over the stage and her sweating skin. But I swore she saw me. Saw through me. To the things I didn’t want seen. I stepped back further into the darkness knowing my concerns were irrational but unable to tear my eyes off hers. I was stronger than this. I was thoughtful, pragmatic, and not a victim of animalistic natures and poetic fantasies.

Though she occasionally snapped the thin strips of material that made up her outfit in a playful tease she never took any clothes off. She didn’t need to. She’d managed to capture the attention of every person in that room with her movements alone.

My body reacted despite my rationale; heart pounding, skin aflame. I needed to leave. I wouldn’t be like the rest of these people.

The song crescendoed and in a show of strength, she launched herself back to the top of the pole once again. A small gasp escaped from me but the music drowned out all noise. She performed a trick that made her appear to fall down the entire length of the pole, tumbling over and sideways, limb over limb, only to catch herself at the bottom using only her thighs. She hung upside down, panting, dark hair sprawled out around her and her gaze set on me. Her eyes were a brilliant emerald, unlike any color I’d ever seen. They were luminescent in the stage lighting. Even across the hazy bar, they were transcendent. Glowing. Fixated on me.

Nobody else.

I swallowed but it wasn’t easy. The song ended and the lights went out. The crowd went wild. Several moments passed before I gained control of my faculties again. With that control came the shame of watching her. The understanding that just seeing her perform was enough to make me forget who I was. That couldn’t happen.

I got out of there as fast as I could. The entire drive back to Knoxville my chest heaved at an alarming rate; my body remained a mass of tension. Her hypnotic gaze flashed repeatedly in my vision no matter how often I tried to shake it loose.

Thankfully, I’d never see her again.

Title: I’m Yours
Author: Jennifer Van Wyk
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Single Dad Romance

OUR REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Reed knew all along that Sadie was the one for him but when she broke his heart he left town for college and only returned as a widower with a daughter.

Sadie didn’t think she was good enough for Reed so she let him go breaking both of their hearts. Years later she’s a business and homeowner, when Reed returns maybe now she feels good enough.

Reading their journey was heartfelt, the heart breaks and the mending, Jennifer Van Wyk does a great job writing their story!

I left Lakeside, Montana heartbroken and lost with no desire to ever return.
But life had other plans.
Moving back wasn’t what I wanted to do, but I’d do anything for my daughter Emmy. Including put myself right in the path of Sadie Jones.
My daughter’s new dance teacher.
The reason my heart was never fully opened to anyone else was because it’s always belonged to her.

When I watched Reed Sanders drive away from Lakeside, I knew my heart would never recover.
He was meant for more than what this town could offer him.
Than what I could offer him.
I tried to warn him to stay away from me but he refused to listen.
If only he would have, maybe then I wouldn’t feel so broken.

The heart is mysterious. It can be closed off and open at the same time.
Unfortunately, sometimes it takes danger lurking around the corner to make it choose a side.
All I can hope is that one day I can finally hear the words… I’m Yours.

I pull on the door and step inside, looking around. I hear sultry music from the back and hear someone call out, “I’ll be out in a second!”

I look around, pictures of dancers grace the walls. It didn’t look like much from the outside, but inside tells a different story. There are four rooms plus what looks like an office, each of the dance rooms have a large glass wall and a quick look inside shows a mirror on the opposite wall. There’s a sign that says “No shoes allowed past this point” and I furrow my brow, wondering what that means. There’s a built-in shelf that looks like it’s to store shoes and maybe even hang backpacks and coats. It’s impressive, really.

This same studio was here when I was growing up, but it looks updated, modern, and when I look to the side at another sign that reads “All dancers welcome here” I know that it’s exactly where I want Emmy to be.

“Keep going, ladies. You’re looking great.”

That voice. I know that voice.

It arrests me, my feet glued to the floor.

And then I see her.

She’s standing probably ten feet away from me and she gasps. I open my mouth to say something but I don’t even know what to say. Sadie. Our eyes connect and she takes a step forward then another. I do the same but then neither of us come any closer.

“Holy shit,” Sadie breathes, stopping in her tracks. My sentiments exactly. I had no idea she still lived in Lakeside, though I made it very clear to my parents that I didn’t want to know details on Sadie’s life.

We stare at each other, eyes blinking slowly. “What…” the rest of my question sticks in my throat. I’m not even sure what I was going to ask her. What is she doing here? What’s she been up to the last dozen years? Why couldn’t she love me back all those years ago?

“Reed.” My name sounds like heaven coming from her lips. I close my eyes, letting it wash over me. It’s been so long since I’ve heard her voice or seen her in the flesh, not just in my dreams.

“Sadie.” My voice is thick and scratchy. She bites her lip and looks over her shoulder when the music in the back changes, someone calling her name and asking if Sadie wants her to continue.

“Can you take over for a bit, Kandace?”

“You got it!”

When her eyes return to mine, we continue our stare down, neither of us making a move.

“My daughter. She’s looking for dance classes.” It’s the first thing that comes to mind to say. But what am I supposed to do here? Shoot the shit with her? Make small talk? She made it clear twelve years ago that she no longer cared about me, so it’s best to keep things cordial now. If she came out to help a visitor, that must mean she works here, right? It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this way; like my mind is stuck.

Her eyes widen at my mention of Emmy but they don’t seem surprised. Of course they aren’t. I’m sure she’s heard all about Emmy from my mom. Possibly even the fact that Katherine died, too. I assumed that when mom was keeping in touch with Sadie, it meant that they were doing so over social media or the occasional phone call. Now I wonder if they’re hanging out together, spending time with one another.

“I heard… about your wife. I’m sorry.” So, she did know.

I nod, shoving my hands in my pockets. I never understood why people said they were sorry. It wasn’t her who forced Katherine to stare at her phone screen rather than focus on the road ahead of her. I suppose it’s one of those sayings that started years ago and it just never changed over time.

“Thanks.”

She looks away and then back again, her eyes still so pretty. “Has Emerson danced before?”

My entire body flinches at her use of my daughter’s name. She knows about me. Possibly knew I was moving home and I didn’t even know she was still here. I take a minute to really look at her and that’s when I realize what she’s wearing.

Fish neck stockings, heels that look like they could be used as a weapon, they’re so tall, a pair of shiny bright green underwear and a black bra thing that looks incredibly complicated with all the straps.

“What the hell are you wearing?” I ask, probably rudely but she just smiles, giggling a little and it’s like a vice is gripping my heart. I haven’t heard her voice, her laugh, in so long. I missed it. I missed her. The way her eyes sparkle in amusement and her lips lift in a smile. Damn, she’s even more beautiful than I remember. When I last saw her, she was still growing into herself. Now, though, I see everything, thanks to her attire. Firm stomach, full breasts, strong arms and legs. The only thing that’s the same about Sadie Jones is her hair. Still pin straight and blonde.

She throws a thumb over her shoulder. “I teach pole dancing in the back.”

“My daughter isn’t pole dancing!” I’m sure I look horrified but I figured this was a regular dance studio for little kids.

“That’s good because she’s not old enough for that. Maybe we could start her out with some beginner ballet?” A teasing smile stretches across her face and I can’t stop my eyes from drifting down, focusing on her full lips.

I’m standing here in front of Sadie for the first time in twelve years as she takes a break from teaching a pole dancing class. We’re discussing starting my daughter out with some beginner ballet classes while she’s at her first day of Kindergarten. How is this my life? I’m barely holding it together, feeling like I’m about to come out of my own skin. It’s too much for me to deal with. She’s too pretty and sexy and my daughter just started school and… shit. I need a drink. And I rarely drink.

“Okay,” I find myself saying.

She moves with ease on heels that should roll her ankle and brushes past me, her scent lingering in the air between us. A mixture of something sweet that reminds me of when my mom would bake pumpkin bars in the fall and something else that brings back memories better left buried.

She hands me a piece of paper and pen. “Fill this out and here’s a list of our classes and the times so you can take a look at what works for your schedule. How old is she? Five?”

“Yes,” I tell her, wondering how she’s so calm. Meanwhile, I’m about to come unglued and out of my skin.
