Overall I enjoyed this book, this was my first book by Ms. Wayne and when I saw it was a mafia book, I jumped at it. I find it hard to find that subgenre at the moment…. Or I have read to many of them lol.

This book starts off with the characters at college age about 19ish. That didn’t bother me, neither did the jumping forward. The characters lifestyles couldn’t been more polar opposites. Mikayla is the girl who is poor and has a really shitty life, and Tomas, was brought up through a close family, albeit not the most conventional way, which is understandable when your family is part of the mafia.

We jump a few years ahead, and the characters are a bit of a better spot, Mikayla is successful as a journalist and Tomas is running the ad company for his family. At this point, we start getting introduced to more characters that will become important as the book and series goes on.

There were some twists that I enjoyed, but I do feel some times could have gone a little more in depth. This book also leaves you with questions, which I always find good because it leaves me wanting more and waiting for the next one. I give this book 4 stars and am interested to see where this series is going to go.

             Where to start…. This was my second by Ms. Kreig, and after Black Swan affair I could not wait to read this. I will start off by saying that this has a cliffhanger, so for those that prefer having both books available … beware. I will say do not stop that from letting you read it because it was a great read.

From the moment this book started, it went in a completely different direction then I thought it would, which I immensely enjoyed. Willow is not your classic heroine, she has faults which made me like her even more. The same goes for Shaw, he is not your classic rich boy, yes he has money, but Mr. Kreig, gave his qualities that we can relate to and look for in a man.

The premise of the story, is a fake romance needed for the publicity. They both fit each-others needs, but as time goes on things get muddled, the chemistry and pull gets hotter between the two of them, and history rears its ugly head.

I really enjoyed some of the secondary characters in this book as well and hope they get a novella or a spin off. I give this book 4 ½ stars and can’t wait to see what happens in the sequel.

Max Monroe have come back with hot, Oh so interesting story. They are back ladies and back with a bang. Love their writing and their ability to give us different on such an amazing level.

This is gonna be short review cos I really don’t wanna Jabba away and Give too much away.

Dude from start to finish you wonder WTF then you be like “Oh No He Didnt”. Lola and Reed are really so opposite. He is a jackass really and Lola is Sassy and funny and abit of a Drama queen.

She writes a column called Sex Says. She gives really her own opinion and thoughts about all things from dating to sex. Some of it I won’t agree with and some she hit dead on the head.

Enter Reed who really wants to be different and live life his way, his rules. At first you really don’t get a feel of him. You don’t know what to think of him. He gets an Adrenaline Rush messing with ppl in a good way at times…

Until he reads something Lola writes. It really does Erk him and he can’t understand why, but still goes ahead and makes an arse of himself and a bad impression by calling her out. He does this publicly…. Stupid Man really.

And the rest as they say is History LOL. So damn entertaining watching these two clowns. Their banter and Dialogue was the Absolute Bomb. Their Chemistry if the charts.
Seriously their banter was hilarious. From the angsty Guessing bits to the Hilarious Lines and Steamy Sexy time all of this was Absolutely Brilliant.

This book should be bought instantly and read. It’s Fan-Fucking-tastic book that we have never seen before. Grab it now and enjoy. Try not to Pee your Pants.

He does a damn fine job at ensuring he draws as little as attention as possible, but then that annoying woman with her startling blue eyes starts hammering away at his resolve. Makes him feel when he doesn’t want to feel.

Imogen comes into his life and carves out a place for herself, obliterating his defenses one heated kiss at a time.

It doesn’t take long, and he realizes he’s in deep. Too deep to ever want to come out.

Imogen will know what it’s like to be loved by a reject.

 

As always, Lani Lynn Vale, is an automatic read for me, and again she did not disappoint with Beard Mode. This book starts a new spin off from one of her other series. It is not necessary that you read the others because it gives plenty of background, but it certainly is better and gives for a better reading experience if you do.

I loved Imogen. I loved that she wasn’t a classic girly girl (not that any of lani’s are… they all have amazing quirks and I want to be best friends with them lol). But my favorite thing about Imogen was that she has a Badass past. I loved that she was part of the marines, and served her country… she is my girl crush at the moment lol.

Aaron oh Aaron, you have had such a rough past, and I am so glad that you were able to find your happy ending. With everything that he went through, he had a soft spot in my heart and I could not wait to read his book.

As most of lani’s characters, Aaron and Imogen had the perfect amount of suspense, chemistry and perfect witty one liners. I give this book 5 stars and cannot wait until the end of next month for another book from her!
