Review by Tasha M.

Firstly I have to say Congratulations to Sarah O’Rourke for being part of the Fiona Davenport’s Sex, Vows and Babies world. I think this is huge and makes me so happy that we get these little doses of Fluff in between our Heavy Hard reads. This Absolutely Sweet as Candy book was all Insta-Love, Hot Hot Sex and an Amazing story line. This maybe a Novella but let me tell you it’s packed with everything we love about a love Story. Angst and HEA. Grab this Book i promise you as always they give us different in the best way possible. Shaw and Waverlee will have you all eating out their palm.

Shivering against him as she parted her lips to speak, Waverlee moaned as his tongue swept forward, stealing the opportunity to deepen their kiss.  And holy moly, the man could kiss.  And not just any old kiss either. It was the-steal- your-breath- I-can’t- live-without- his-touch- because- nothing-else- in-the- world-matters kind of kiss a girl spends her life dreaming about. Their tongues danced together for long minutes as everything else faded away.  The people.  The noise.  Everything took a backseat to the fierce passion Shaw created with a simple touch of his mouth to hers.

Forcing herself to find her voice when Shaw lifted his mouth from hers to take a deep breath, Waverlee flashed a furtive glance up at his darkened eyes.  “Wow,” she breathed shakily, clutching handfuls of his light blue dress shirt in her fists as the world seemed to spin at warp speed, “I..I…don’t think I’ve ever felt anything like that before,” she whispered, the words catching in her throat as his finger swept against her lower lip.

“Then you best hold on real tight to me, baby, ‘cause I’m just getting started,” he replied,
dropping his head to steal another deep, wet kiss from her lips as he curved one big hand around her neck, wrapping her silky hair around his fist and tugging gently.

An honorable man who’s lost his way . . . A career woman who hides behind her
button-up suits . . . Unexpected romance is the specialty at the Fireside Grill as Stacey
Lynn’s captivating series comes full circle.

Becoming an ER doctor had been David McGregor’s mission ever since he could remember.
But after tragedy strikes at his hospital in Chicago, David runs away from the guilt—all the
way back to Latham Hills, Michigan, where he takes a job tending bar at his childhood
friend’s restaurant. That’s how he meets Camden Reed, and the way Camden refuses to give him the time of day should be a turnoff. Instead, he’s drawn to her tough, tightly wound exterior, and soon David realizes that he has a new mission: to see her tightly wound beneath him.

Camden’s fighting tooth and nail to resist the desire she feels for David. Growing up dirt-
poor, raised by a single mother, she worked twice as hard to get where she is today, and
she doesn’t have any patience for the kind of guy who’d give up a decent paycheck to sling
drinks. But when the sexual tension finally combusts between the sheets, Camden
discovers that people aren’t always what they seem. As David pushes her past her limits,
Camden begins to loosen up—and to trust that, when she falls, there will be someone
waiting to catch her.

This series has been such an amazing journey. Stacy Lynn an absolute master at this and I just know that I can’t wait for the next and any after. This woman thrills me when she announces a new release. His To Seduce was extra special because it was about characters we knew already and loved. This book was about David and Camden. We also knew their stories would be gut Wrenching but at the same time extraordinary. Stacy Definitely exceeded that expectation. I’m gonna try not to give to much away. We know from previous books that these two are running and hiding from something. We already know what Beautiful friendship’s they have but we really get to see it more now. It was utterly Joyous and Beautiful watching these two fall in love, take Chances, and drop walls. Times and moments you would feel your heart so sore for these damaged souls that you would want to reach in grab them and hug then so tightly. David and Cam were always attracted to each other and when they finally gave in it was Scrumptious and delightful to watch these two peel back the layers. It was hot, Sexy and Raw. Filled with Powerful love and hearts looking to feel that love. David was my favorite hero in this Series. A hero is always my Highlight and I have to say he did not let me down. This man is everything you need in a hero. From being Alpha to Kind and sweet. His patients and love had me beaming and heart swelling with Happiness. Grab this ladies it’s what we all need and it’s something that every romance reader would love. This story was Precious and Awe inspiring. Enjoy!!!!

We fell in love on a beach, got married in paradise, and I carried her off into the sunset. It should have been perfect, but saying “I do” doesn’t guarantee a happily-ever- after.

Two years later, I barely recognize either of us behind the walls we’ve built.

It’s time to bring it full circle. Back to a tropical paradise. Back to find out if we can still make this work.

I’m not willing to give her up, but to save us, I have to risk everything.

Two damaged people.

Countless secrets.

The fight of our lives.

We might be broken, but we’re not done.

Review by Tasha M.

Take Me Back will absolutely wow you. It’s so different not just from what we read but what Meghan normally gives us. Every aspect of this book has wondering, then doubting then smiling like a loon. I loved every second of it and was totally entranced by it from page 1. Dane and Kat are the most adorable and real Characters you will come across. We all will relate to some part of their story. These to have wild hot chemistry and their level of love is absolutely inspiring. I loved their sex Scenes, their banter and inner dialogue. Grab this book Ladies. I promise it’s the best kind of Different.

This is Book Four in the Acts Of Honor series, the spin-off series to Men Of Honor.
It is not necessary to read all of the other books in the series. However, I do highly
recommend that you at least read Resisting Temptation, the third book in the Men
of Honor series, since this is where these Characters story began.

❤~🌟~❤❤~🌟~❤❤~🌟~❤❤~🌟~❤Review by Ashley❤~🌟~❤❤~🌟~❤❤~🌟~❤❤~🌟~❤

Wow… I don’t think there are many words that can express the emotions that I felt while reading this book. We were forewarned that it was emotional, but I didn’t think it would be gut wrenching with a sucker punch to the stomach. The feelings that I felt while reading this book… its hard to describe. It has been quite some time since a book as has touched me like this one, and this will stay with me for a long time.

Christopher has always been my damaged knight while reading KC Lynn’s book. Someone who at a young age went through so much, but still tried to be the protector for his younger sister. We all fell in love with Christopher when reading Resisting Temptation, but now we fall in love with the man in this story.

Some of the scenes in this book where absolutely  gut-wrenching and had me sobbing. I could feel the pain and anguish that Christopher was feeling. The scene between Christopher and Billy…. Ripped me apart and as I am writing this, tears are coming back to my eyes even thinking about it. Then the scene with Christopher and Cade, the hopelessness is pulsing off the pages.

But with all the sadness and despair, KC Lynn somehow manages to add the perfect amount of light that will help heal your heart as Christopher’s heart healed. We get a glimpses of the children, who we are all waiting for as well as Ruthie who is now a young adult… I cannot wait to see where her story leads, just from the snippets we got about her in this book.

This book takes you on more than a roller coaster! This book is real, raw and honest and I thank KC for writing this. I would give this book 10 stars if I could, but since I cannot it will have to be just 5 for know.

One minute I’m drumming to a beat I could never play on my own then the next I’m

flipped around to face him, his fingers digging into my hips possessively. I gasp, my

breath racing as I stare back at him.

Something passes between us.

A decision.

A choice.

No more fighting this.

“Fuck complicated.” His earlier words fall past his lips then our mouths become one.

The connection slams into me, sending my heart reeling. Our tongues duel in a

beautiful battle, the sound of our passion filling the air as our past ignites.

A growl erupts from him, vibrating against my lips. “You taste as good as I

I want to tell him the same thing but can’t. All I can think about is his mouth never

leaving mine, not even for a second, or it might kill me.

At this moment, I’m not even sure how I survived so long without it—without him.

He slides the stool closer to the drum set before his hand moves between us and

presses on my chest. I seize the opportunity to suck in air and let him guide me to my

back, my shoulders resting against the musical cylinders.

His hands move to mine and it’s then I realize I still have the drumsticks gripped

tightly in my fists. With a sexy smirk, he pries them both from me, throwing one on

the floor but keeps hold of the other.

His dark eyes never sever from mine as he unbuttons the shirt I’m wearing, exposing

me to his stare. The cool air whispers over my heated flesh, my nipples straining for

his touch.

“So fucking pretty.” The wild lust in his eyes triggers an intense desire in

I bite my lip to keep from moaning but all silent caution is thrown out the

window the moment he takes the stick and brushes the tip of it over one aching bud.

Another gasp parts my lips, a fiery whimper purging from me at the cool,

hard feel. My back arches, the small touch igniting an inferno in my body.

“Remember the things I used to do to your body, Alissa? How wet you

would get when you’d hear me sing?” he murmurs, dragging the smooth wood down

my tummy. “You’d beg me to take your ache away. Remember?”

“Yes. Do you?” I ask. I’m dying to know. Has he thought of me as much as

I have him?

“Yeah, baby. There isn’t a moment of our time together that I’ve ever

His admission has my throat burning and heart aching. Aching at the loss of

him, of what we could have had.

What we did have.

“The good,” he whispers. “The bad.” He slips the stick in my panties. “And

the fucking beautiful.”

“Oh, god, Christopher.” His name spills past my lips on a cry of pleasure as

he glides the stick through my wet flesh, slowly working it against my swollen clit.

He plays my body like he plays every instrument. With skilled perfection

and grace. Keeping his momentum, he leans down just enough to suck a hard nipple

into his mouth. His teeth graze it with a pressure that borders on a beautiful pain and

it’s enough to send me over the edge.

Blissful cries rip from my throat as I’m swept up into an intense storm of

“Good girl, scream for me, Alissa. Let me have your pleasure

because next it’s going to be my cock working this hot little pussy.”

They caught me. Naked, shivering and dripping after a spontaneous swim in the forest. Two rugged men whose hard gazes captivated and scared me all at once.

They warned me. Told me I was on private property and I needed to obey the law…or I would be punished.

The idea of them both punishing me, pleasuring me, kept tormenting me. I couldn’t want them. I shouldn’t. But I did.

I didn’t mean to trespass again. I thought I could retreat without notice. But they’re coming for me.

To show me the pleasure in pain. To show me just how right forbidden can feel. And to love me twice as hard as I ever fantasized.

A man emerges, face pressed against the barrel of a shotgun.
I fall back on my elbows. A scream tears from my lungs. The sound radiates, gaining traction in its echo around us.
The gun lowers, revealing a face of molten fury. “What are you doing here?”
I swallow, gasping, “I’m sorry.”
“You shouldn’t be here. This is private land.”
“I’m sorry.” I scramble backward across the ground on my palms. Blood roars in my ears.
“I thought you were a deer. I could’ve shot you.” His gun falls the rest of the way down, pointing to the ground, but he’s no less menacing as he approaches. No less a hunter.
Me no less a deer.
“I could’ve killed you.”
I struggle for words. “I was at the waterfall. My husband told me to come this way.”
“Your husband?” He steps closer again. His dirty blond hair is cut short but ungroomed. Sandy bristles cover his jaw and continue down his neck. He isn’t as huge as the other man, but he’s plenty big enough.
“You’re not wearing a ring.” He looks at my hands, pressed to the dirt, then to my chest—still damp and shirt clinging. My nipples still ridiculously hard. “You’re not wearing much.”
My pulse hammers in my ears.
He crouches, then reaches for me and takes my hand. My fingers shake. I tell myself only because I’m still shaken up over the gunshot. He’s done nothing wrong. I’m the one who’s half-wet trespassing on private hunting ground. He helps me up, but doesn’t let my hand go. Intuition sweeps me into electrified sense of vulnerability. Not because of my state of dress, or rather undress, but because of the power of his hand around mine.
“Where would this husband of yours be?” The question could be innocent if his cool blue eyes didn’t narrow on me that way. If his voice wasn’t a silken lure, wrapping around me like an anaconda.
If his features didn’t pinch with the callous assessment of a hunter lining up a shot.
And maybe I could give my answer—nowhere that can help me now—if heat didn’t bubble in my blood.
“He’s waiting for me in our cabin. It’s just down the hill off the main road.” My tongue darts across my dry lips. “He’s expecting me back any minute.”
He’ll come looking. I let that statement, that outright lie, suggest.
His gaze flicks to my mouth. “We should let you go, then.”
I feel, rather than hear, the movement behind me. I look back. The other man, the darker man, the one I’d let see me naked, emerges from the trees.
Oh, shit. My lungs freeze with foreboding, and blood rushes to my limbs, muscles twitching to flee.
“This time…” He keeps my hand held tight, belying his promise to let me go. “But know this, you’re on our land. Everything on this side of the mountain down to the canyon is ours.”
Steps approach, and for one heart-stopping moment I think they’ll catch me between them. Everything on this side of the mountain down to the canyon is theirs. There’s no doubt in my mind that, right now, that includes me.
“We hunt here.” He releases my hand. I don’t stumble back. The other man is too close. “Wander here again and who knows what will happen to you.”
“I’m sorry,” I repeat, and step sideways. “I won’t.”
He smiles so wolfishly. The silly fear I first had when I set out this morning, of what wild animals might lurk in the forest, vanishes.
It isn’t wild animals I have to fear.
It’s wild men.
“See that you don’t, Mrs.…?”
I take three more steps. He wants my name? Really? I glance between them. The darker one remains as stony and silent as he’d been before. His gaze now less desperate but more intense.
“Gabby.” I’m not quite brave enough to refuse to identify myself, but there’s not much you can do with a first name, especially one that’s shortened.
“I’m Clarke,” the gunman says, then gestures to the other. “That’s my brother Luke.”
My mouth opens. What am I supposed to say, nice to meet you? They threatened me then told me their names. Why?
“Goodbye,” I say, then spin and run as though my motherfucking life depends on it.
Sure feels like it does.

Vaughn Johansson is the Nashville Assassins’ star player. He’s brash, cocky, and talented. And he isn’t afraid to let anyone know it. He lives his life on his own terms, never forming romantic attachments, and only allowing his very closest to see his true, caring self.

Brie Soledad has the weight of the world on her shoulders. As the staff reporter for the Assassins, she balances her high-profile job and its heavy travel schedule with being the sole provider for her adult brother with Down syndrome. Sure, she’d like to find love. But who has time for that when there are bills to pay?

Brie has been the match to Vaughn’s gasoline since the day she first held out her microphone to him. They strike sparks off each other, keeping their friends, the team, and the Assassins fans in stitches. Brie’s refusal to fawn over Vaughn sets his teeth on edge and his blood boiling. Especially in that body part…

Brie’s been let down by love before, but she knows she deserves nothing less than real, forever love. Vaughn’s past has left deep, hidden scars, and there are some secrets he cannot bear to reveal. As much as Brie wants him, Vaughn may be too big a risk for her wary heart to take. But he is at his best under pressure. When the delayed call is in effect and he has no choice but to score, Vaughn always delivers.

“I need help with a couch.”
“A couch?” Vaughn asked, sliding his feet into his tennis shoes as Jensen did the same.
“Yeah,” Shea said as they both followed him out. “Brie Soledad was telling Elli she wasn’t sure how she was going to get her couch up into her apartment because it won’t fit in the elevator, and I said I’d come help. I thought it wouldn’t be a problem, the doorman can help or something. But apparently, he’s on restriction from lifting shit, so that brings you two into this. Plus, this couch isn’t cheap, and it’s heavy.”
Hearing Brie’s name, Vaughn stopped, glaring. But Jensen pulled him along, shaking his head to keep him from saying anything. Which was probably the right call. Shea didn’t need to hear his drama, and also, there was the possibility of dropping the couch on her.
He didn’t mean that.
Okay, he did, but he didn’t want to kill her. Maybe just break her toe.
No one needs all their toes.
Well, she would if she wore those naughty red peep toe boots she had…
Rolling his eyes at his pathetic obsession with her, he looked at the ground as they rode the elevator down as Jensen said, “I don’t know why she didn’t hire someone to move her.”
Shea shrugged. “I don’t know.”
“I don’t think she has the money,” Vaughn found himself saying, and Jensen looked back at him.
“Don’t be a douche.”
“What? I meant that nicely,” he tried as the doors opened. His eyes landed on Brie, who was standing by a big-ass sofa, her arms crossed over her chest and her little chin up in the air. She didn’t want this, it was written on her face, but then, no one said no to Shea Adler.
Well, except Elli Adler.
And his daughters.
“Nothing you say is ever nice,” Jensen shot back as they got out, and Vaughn’s eyes met Brie’s. Heading toward her, Jensen called out, “Brie, I told you that you could call me to help.”
“I don’t ask for help very well. Elli had to ask Shea,” she admitted with a shrug. “Sorry about this.”
“Don’t be sorry. It’s fine.”
“Yeah, it’s only six floors worth of stairs, but who’s counting?” Vaughn joked.
Brie’s gaze cut to Vaughn’s. “I didn’t ask you to help.”
“Technically, you didn’t ask anyone, but here we all are.”
She glared, and he glared back as Jensen rolled his eyes. “They fight a lot.”
“Are they dating?” Shea asked.
“God, no,” Brie yelled, which made Vaughn scoff.
“She wishes.”
“No, thank you.”
“No? No, thank you, what?”
“No, I won’t date you,” he said calmly, which only made her face turn bright red as the rage settled in her eyes.
“You asshole, I was saying please because I wouldn’t date you if you were the last man on earth and I hadn’t been laid in years!”
Vaughn paused as Jensen shook his head and Shea looked on excitedly. “Well, that’s not nice. How dare you not want to help the world make a comeback? Do you not care for humankind? It would be our job to bring back the human race.”
“No, and I’d probably kill you just to make my point.”
Feigning shock, Vaughn held in his laughter as he accused, “You’re ruthless, Ms. Soledad.”
“You have no idea, JoHo.”
